'Turkey Bowl' raises thousands for charity

Posted: Updated:

For 7 straight years, residents from Monmouth Beach and surrounding areas have come together for a Thanksgiving day football game.

All for a good cause.

Last year, ‘The Turkey Bowl’ raised $45,000 for various charities and causes, this year organizers and participants hope that number will increase at this year's event.

And even though it was cold outside and the winds were gusting Thursday, nearly one hundred locals showed up in support.
