Palm Tree Store Burglar Caught On Surveillance Video

PHILADELPHIA -

Police are asking for help in identifying the suspect who burglarized Palm Tree Gourmet in the Rittenhouse section of the city.

Just before 3 a.m. Sunday, police arrived at the Palm Tree Gourmet on the 1900 block of Pine Street to find the front door glass shattered. Surveillance video shows an unknown male had approached the front door and throwing a brick that breaking the glass. Once inside, the suspect went to the cash register and took $200 in cash then fled the area.

Police describe the suspect as a black male, 40 years old, thin build, wearing a dark colored knit hat, dark colored jacket, possibly green, and dark colored sneakers with white colored soles.
