Quick-Change Scam Warning Out For Businesses

Posted: Updated:

Police are warning Delaware business owners to beware of a man running a quick-change scam.

Authorities say 68-year-old Warren Sampson, of Philadelphia, has committed thefts in at least eight stores throughout Delaware in November and this month.

Police claim he pays for items with a $100 bill, then tells the cashier he received the wrong amount of change.

Investigators say he ends up leaving with the merchandise, the change and the $100 bill.
