A lot of people dream of getting away from it all, one Arizona couple did just that. They spent 8 years on a boat in the Pacific Ocean.
Liz Haley has pictures from the family's incredible adventure, eight years on a boat sailing the Pacific seas.
"When I met my husband he told me he would sell his practice and said around the world 5 years later we were doing it seems pretty crazy it was awesome" Liz said.
Their boat is called the rouge scholarship a 57 foot cutter two beds and two baths, surrounded by sea creatures, out there on their own.
"It's a big stress we were isolated. It was tough on Liz she missed her family come home for a little visit around Christmas time."
And then it was back to the boat visiting 25 countries around the Pacific Ocean. Their daughter was born in Australia. She has already visited eight countries.
"I am just lucky this is always a dream of mine to go sailing. I'm just lucky enough to have all my dreams keep coming true," Liz said.
Their boat is docked, but ready to go on another adventure.
