The Math Of Santa Claus

Posted: Updated:

Just thirteen days left until Christmas! That means Santa and his elves are very busy right now, preparing toys for more than 1.6 billion children worldwide.

Have you ever wondered about how he gets it done? Well, here's a mathematical breakdown of his schedule come Christmas Eve.

Santa will visit 5,556 homes per second! That's 640,000,000 stops!

While doing it, he'll eat 150 billion calories worth of milk and cookies.

Assuming each of the homes gives Santa a glass of milk, he'll drink enough to fill over fifty Olympic swimming pools.

And when it comes to presents this year, Santa will spend nearly $487-billion!

In total, those gifts will be wrapped with 1.6 million miles of wrapping paper.

And just before his big night of travel, Santa will store all of the gifts in a warehouse the size of 240,000 double-decker buses.
