Gender Difference In Opinions On Phone Privacy

Posted: Updated:

Ladies, do you want to know what men really hide on their smartphones? Here's a hint, it's not always porn.

According to a new poll, men are more concerned with hiding banking information than sexy photos!

The survey, conducted by market research firm TNS, polled a thousand men and women. 13% of men said that they would be embarrassed if friends and family found naked photos on their phone, while only five percent of women said the same. 25% of both men and women said that bank history being revealed would make them feel violated.

According to the study, nine percent of men admit to having naked photos on their mobile devices, while only two percent of women admit to it.

When it comes to naked selfies, seven percent of men admit to taking some, whereas only three percent of women do.

The survey also asked about Internet history. More than 20% of males admit that they would not want friends or family to look at their phone's Internet history, whereas only 11% of women felt the same way.

A cause for concern could be the fact that only 16% of respondents admit to keeping their mobile devices password-locked.
