Team Works To Make Sick Boy's Dream Of White Christmas Come True

Posted: Updated:

CONYERS, Ga. - A community is coming together to create a magical Christmas for a sick little boy.

What Dylan Rosier really wanted for Christmas was a cure for his leukemia. But the 10-year-old told Santa that he'd settle for a white Christmas in the meantime.

Professional photographer Jennifer Snook, whose father died from leukemia, was deeply moved when she overheard the conversation between Dylan and Santa. She rented a snow machine from Arizona and arranged for 4,000 pounds of ice. Her husband, who is with the Henry County Police Department, got the Fraternal Order of Police to help out financially. The officers and other volunteers worked through the night on Christmas Eve to help make Dylan's wish come true.

"The plan is to cover the yard with about foot, foot and a half of snow, throw some on the trees and bushes just to make it look like it fell and wait for the kids' reactions," said Brandy Moon, Dylan's mother.

Moon said that Dylan and his siblings watched Disney movies and were being kept away from the TV and the front yard. The white Christmas is planned to be a surprise even though news crews are outside.

Volunteers said they expected that it would take until about 4 a.m. before the yard was covered with snow.
