NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

At least two people were stabbed or slashed at the Port Authority Bus Terminal on New Year's Eve, according to authorities.

FDNY medics responded to an emergency report of several people stabbed at the terminal at 8:52 p.m. Medics rushed two wounded people to Roosevelt Hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening, the FDNY said.

The New York Post reported that the injuries came from a brawl among homeless men, but that was not confirmed. A PAPD spokesman said the victims were stabbed in the terminal's main concourse and that the attacker fled, the AP reported.

The bus terminal is one avenue block over from Times Square, where millions were awaiting the ball drop at midnight.
