Bridge Reopens After Officer-Involved Crash

The Tacony-Palmyra Bridge was closed in both directions for several hours overnight after an officer-involved crash, FOX 29's Thalia Perez reports.

A car slammed into a Burlington County Bridge Commission police cruiser almost head-on around 12:30 a.m. at the base of the bridge, which was then closed for investigation.

The bridge was shut down for about five hours before it reopened around 5:30 a.m.

There's no word yet on the conditions of either driver. But investigators say speed was a factor in the crash.

Motorists were advised to take the Betsy Ross Bridge instead.
