A California Target employee is now called a hero after helping catch an admitted kidnapper.

22-year-old Loss Prevention Specialist Roxanna Ramirez says she noticed a shopper acting strangely.

After he left the store, she watched him go to his car and wrote down his license plate number.

When Ramirez later heard a child had been kidnapped she realized the car she saw at work was the same one described by police!

"She said the description of the car, and I was like, 'hold on', that sounds like somebody I've seen earlier at my job fits the same description. I was like 'It's kinda weird' and she said ‘you should call," Ramirez said.

He called the plate number in to police who located the car, the victim and the suspect.

The young girl was reunited with her family.

"I'm happy that she's home, I'm happy that she gets to spend the rest of this time with her family because not all kidnappings end like this. And I'm happy that I get to be a part of it. And it just really feels good," Ramirez said.

Meanwhile, that kidnapping suspect has already admitted he did it.

43-year-old David Douglas told FOX News the government is conspiring to keep him from his seven- year-old son.

Douglas admitted he intended to kidnap a child saying it had been previously arranged. Douglas says he has never been diagnosed or treated for mental illness. He says he welcomes a mental evaluation.
