Niagara Falls Observation Deck Freezes

Posted: Updated:

The arctic chill making its way across the US creeps its way north to Niagara Falls.

Parts of the one 160 foot water fall are covered in ice, including just below the observation deck, which is entirely frozen over.

The sub-zero temperatures created an ice bridge stretching across the falls.

Large amounts of ice up the river forced authorities to issue a flash flood warning for two islands in the area.

Forecasters say the Polar Vortex sweeping across the US and Canada will be leaving by the end of the week.
