Thousands race in Disney Marathon

More than  25,000 people took off in the Walt Disney World Marathon on Sunday morning after Donald Duck quacked, "On your marks. Get set. Go!"
 
The runners twisted and wound their way through Epcot and Magic Kingdom.

Fredison Costa of Brazil finished first in the men's race in 2 hours, 21 minutes, and 39 seconds.
 
Angela Brito of Ecuador crossed the line first in the women's competition with a time of 2 hours, 47 minutes, and 44 seconds.

The highest Florida finishers were Ben Payne of Fort Walton Beach and Julie Norhrup of Jacksonville who finished fourth and third in their events, respectively.

Our FOX 29 Family is very proud of our News Producer Aaron Inver who went down to Walt Disney World this week to run in the events. He completed today's marathon in 4 hours, 26 minutes and 36 seconds. He won a medal for completing the Goofy Challenge! Way to go, Aaron!
