Off Duty Officer Injured In Hit And Run

In West Philadelphia, an off-duty police officer was injured in a hit-and run.

The off duty officer involved in the crash was taken to HUP -- he's in stable condition. Three out of the four suspects who hit the officer have been taken into custody for leaving an accident scene.

The accident happened just after two o'clock this morning. According to detectives, the officer was on his way home from work traveling north on 57th street when he was struck by a vehicle that ran a red light on Haverford road. All four people inside the car took off running, but according to police on scene, three out of the four have been caught.
