NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

“It gets messy. Lots of heads falling off... but in a funny way," says Tom Mison about the two-hour season finale of 'Sleepy Hollow.'

The Surrey, England native plays 'Ichabod Crane' in the modern day adaptation of the story 'The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.'

The series which airs on FOX is set in Westchester County.

“I put myself on tape in London and then a week later they said you’re coming to LA next week and here’s 12 pages of dialog to learn," said Mison.

The series began in September and has been a hit for FOX.

Filming takes place in Wilmington, North Carolina.

“This southern hospitality we keep hearing about really does exist,” said Mison.

You can catch the season finale of 'Sleepy Hollow' on Jan. 20 beginning at 9 p.m.
