Shark Almost Attacks Bird Cage Diver

Posted: Updated:

An Australian man and his brother learned the hard way that cage diving with sharks isn't as easy as it looks.

Shaun Harrington, 27, and his brother wanted to make an extreme video of them cage diving with sharks for their surfing and fishing clothing line called The Mad Hueys.

They were mad all right; mad for trying this crazy stunt.

It turns out that the sharks weren't in on the stunt. A shark actually swam up next to Harrington and tried to attack him and his cage.

It turns out that the men didn't come properly prepared. They attempted this stunt using a 50-dollar flimsy bird cage. Real cage drivers use jaw-proof reinforced steel cages that, off course, cover the whole body. Lesson learned.

The comments on social media have criticized the Harrington's for their near disaster.

"idiot," wrote Ness C.

"I WISH IT HAD BITTEN HIM," said fran wrightson.

"The shark must be thinking, this human is a complete idiot," wrote ian Dupre.
