Airman Surprises Parents After Seven Months Abroad

Posted: Updated:

Senior Airman Joseph Lorenzo was gone for seven months in an undisclosed location in Southeast Asia. He pulled off a big surprise when he came home early and unannounced.

With a police escort in tow, Lorenzo pulled off a major covert operation.

He hadn't even spoken to his parents in a few days. In the doorway, his mom exclaimed that she was just trying to Skype her son only a few moments before he rang the bell.

His mom Patricia Lorenzo kept some of his things around in anticipation of his arrival home.

"We have our yellow ribbons and Christmas tree up," Patricia said. "We're very proud of Joseph and we are so thrilled that he's home. It's been a really hard six months."

Lorenzo even had some lasagna to look forward to on his first night home with a family that is so happy to see him.
