Police Want Public's Help In Nabbing Camden Kidnap Suspects

Posted: Updated:
CAMDEN, N.J. -

Police in Camden are looking for two male suspects who they say tried to abduct a woman by stuffing her into a trash can.

The incident happened on Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m., according to police. The suspects, based on surveillance, have been identified as two black males, standing 5'10'' and 6'0" and dressed in dark robes.

Police say that they entered the Zoujati Salon on the 100 block of N. 6th street and threatened the lone female employee in there with a weapon. Then, police say, they put her into a trash can. The two suspects then fled in a van, police say. Surveillance shows one of the suspects running by a school bus before his co-conspirator picked him up in the van.

The van is described as a white 2009 Chevrolet Express 1500 cargo van with tinted windows and Pennsylvania license plates JLJ 6784.

Police want anyone with information to please contact them at (856) 757-7042. All photos are attached.

The victim is okay, say police. No details were provided on how she escaped after being stuffed in the trash can.

    NICE EASTER WEEKEND

The first half of the holiday weekend has been great and Easter Sunday looks just as nice. Clouds thin out late tonight with temperatures falling back to the 40s.

Initially it'll be jacket weather early Sunday morning but plenty of sunshine will warm us into the 60s by afternoon.  High temperatures will be a few degrees cooler than Saturday.

It will be noticeably cooler and breezy at the shore with highs in the low 50s.  Quiet conditions continue into Monday.
