A burger chain unveils its latest product, one that's definitely bound to tip the scales.
The Monte Cristo Burger is the latest addition, and it's available at California's "Umami Burger" Restaurants.
The burger consists of a beef patty covered in cheese and Prosciutto that is inside a vanilla custard-soaked bun, deep fried and topped with powdered sugar. It is also served with a side of syrup.
It sells for 15 bucks, but one dollar from each burger sold will go to a Los Angeles homeless shelter.
This burger was designed by Michael Voltaggio. He was the season six winner of Top Chef.
A lot of comments online have poked fun at the burger.
One person wrote under the San Francisco Chronicle comment section, "That just looks positively vile."
Readers of the Huffington Post agree. "Sounds gross," reader Angela Quattrano wrote.
However, reader Ernesto Quintero is ready to indulge. "OMG that's a tasty burger. Lucky for me I have the skinny gene, though I eat lots of salads and healthy foods, so once in a while I go for it," he wrote in the Huffington Post comment section.
