A new edition makes her debut at the San Diego Zoo.Three-month-old Aisha is the daughter of Indah and they are both Sumatran Orangutans.
The mother is keeping her daughter close to her and showing the baby her daily routine.
The zoo says there are less than7,000 Sumatran orangutans in the wild, making them a critically endangered species.
Anytime the baby vocalizes, Indah turns her attention toward her, and the baby quiets right down.
Indah had been choosing to remain inside the bedroom area most days to focus on the baby without having to worry about her environment and the other animals.
She is given access to the exhibit each morning but does not always choose to go out.
You can catch her in action sometimes on San Diego's Zoo Ape Cam!
