Visually Impaired Children Experience Texas Rodeo

Posted: Updated:

Special audio technology at a Texas rodeo allows local blind children to enjoy the event with their imaginations.

While the students can't "see" the show, they can visualize it with the help of headsets and a narrator during the event.

"It's extremely important. If I didn't have that, I would hear the announcer and hear the people, but I wouldn't get the in-depth view I get with the description," said Chelby Farley.

Farley is a high school senior and loves going to the rodeo -- it's one of her favorite things to do!

"It made me feel ecstatic! I just love the feel of not knowing what's going to happen next and not knowing if they're going to make it and how they're going to do. I just think that's really cool," said Farley.
