FOX Reporter Helps Man Who Fell Onto Train Tracks

Posted: Updated:

A man apparently lost his balance on the platform of the Metro-North station in Yonkers and fell onto the tracks Tuesday evening when a FOX 5 Reporter John Huddy and a photographer just happened to be there reporting on the coming storm's effect on transit.

Huddy said he and a bystander, Gregory Legget, grabbed the man's arms and pulled, yelling at him to push as hard as he could with his legs and climb back up on the platform.

Within seconds, several other people also sprang into action to help. A woman grabbed Huddy from behind to pull him as he pulled the fallen man.

They managed to pull the man back onto the platform. Unhurt, the man soon boarded a train and departed the station.

The man suffered a few minor bruises but is expected to be okay.
