WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Gov. Jack Markell is lifting a limited state of emergency driving warning in Kent and New Castle counties in the wake of a snow storm.
State offices in Kent and New Castle counties closed Thursday, though state offices in Sussex County opened two hours late.
The National Weather Service received reports Thursday of 14 inches of snow in New Castle County, 8 inches in Kent County and about 2 inches in Sussex County.
Markell says conditions in Kent County have improved since the morning, but some roads still have snow and ice on them.
He also warned that another 1 to 3 inches of snow is forecast for New Castle County Thursday night.
Markell says crews are still plowing and salting roads.
