Posted: Updated:

A new YouTube video showing 1,000 high school students singing the United States National Anthem has gone viral.

The video shows The Kentucky All-State High School Chorus singing on 18 floors inside the atrium of the Louisville's Hyatt Hotel.

Michelle Johnson, who posted the video on her Facebook said the students sang to celebrate the start of the Olympics.

She says the video isn't the best quality "cause my fear kept me pretty far from the edge of the balcony."

The video so far has gotten more than 1.5 million views on YouTube.
