Police Investigate Wilmington Deadly Shooting

Police are investigating a shooting in Wilmington, DE that left one person dead.

The incident happened on the 500 block of N. Rodney Street. Officers responded to the block at approximately 1:30 p.m. Sunday after receiving a 911 call reporting a shooting.

Police say the found Kevin Banner, 41, on the sidewalk unresponsive and suffering from gunshot wounds to the chest.

Officers administered first aid and CPR. Banner was transported by ambulance to Christiana Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

There is no suspect information for this shooting at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
