Police Seek Suspect Who Robbed Garden Court Store

PHILADELPHIA -

Southwest Detectives Division is looking to identify the suspect who robbed the Garden Court Store in Garden Court, and they have surveillance that shows the whole incident unfold.

According to police, on February 22, 2014, at 12:50 a.m., an unknown male entered the Garden Court store located on the 4700 block of Pine Street. He was armed with a handgun, the cameras show.

Once inside, surveillance shows the suspect walking past the counter to see if anyone was around. He then turns around and jumps over the counter, pointing the handgun on an employee and demanding money from the cash register. After taking an undetermined amount of cash and several packs of cigarettes, he then jumps back over the counter.

Surveillance shows him falling off to the other side. However, with his loot in hand, he quickly recovers and stumbles out of the store.

The suspect then fled the store on foot in an unknown direction, police say.

Despite his audacity, he forgot to cover his face, and now he's all over the cameras. The suspect Description: Black male, 25 years-of-age, wearing a red or orange hooded sweatshirt, and blue jeans.

If you see this suspect do not approach him, police say contact 911 immediately.
