PATCO, Amtrak, NJ Transit and Regional Rail Lines Scheduled Adjustments

Posted: Updated:

Airport delays come as no surprise, but those who commute in, out and about via rail lines should expect schedule delays and changes in lieu of today's weather.

Amtrak reports they will be trimming their Acela Express and Northeastern Regional trains. Passengers should expect fewer options for their Keystone line commute, which connects Harrisburg, Philadelphia and New York.

PATCO will be running on a "snow schedule" throughout the day with trains arriving every 10 to 15 minutes.

In order to compensate for limited travel options, NJ Transit will allow "cross-honoring" today. Customers can use their tickets and passes on alternative modes of transportation, including rail, light-rail, bus and private bus carriers.

NJ transit has also mobilized customer service and police personnel for today's travel.

Fox 29 has ongoing and regular contact with SEPTA, reporting that updates will be issued throughout the day. SEPTA encourages riders to plan for delays and leave early for their commute. Don't forget to check train and bus schedules that may have been altered for the weather conditions.

The official SEPTA app for smart phones offers live GPS mapping of septa bus and trolley routes with updated service and detour announcements.
