Ewing Residents Describe Witnessing Explosion

Posted: Updated:

Jack Forst lives on Crockett Lane in Ewing Township where an explosion occurred around 1 p.m.

He says he was about a mile away when he heard a loud bang as he was watching television. He then went outside to go see what was going on and saw a bunch of smoke.

He said from where he was standing he could see glass and insulation everywhere.

Richard Carroll is a teacher who works near by the explosion. He says his wife's school is less than a quarter of a mile from the explosion. He tells us people at the school could feel the vibrations of windows shattering and could clearly see the fire from the explosion.

Richard said the teachers and students at the school are safe.
