California Whole Foods Protests For Woman To Be Rehired

Posted: Updated:

A California woman was fired from her job at Whole Foods after taking too much time off to take care of her special needs son.

She was forced to stay home and look after her son after an unordinary winter storm came through.

Infuriated protesters handed out fliers outside the Whole Foods Market in hopes of helping her regain her job.

"Basically she was fired because she wanted to stay home and take care of her kid. And I believe that women should be able to stay home and take care of their children when they're ill and not be fired or retaliated against," said one protester.

The protesters outside the establishment hope their petition will inspire Whole Foods Market to reconsider their decision to fire the young mother and reinstate her job with the company.
