On Tuesday, Transit Police released a cellphone video and surveillance photos of six people who police say are responsible for attacking three people on the Red Line near Broadway Station on Sunday night.

The incident first started when one person got into a verbal argument with a group of five people, according to police.

Next, two other passengers, both women who did not know the first victim, intervened and asked the group to stop. Instead, the group began to physically assault the two women, beating all three victims.

Since releasing the video and information about these attacks, Transit Police Lt. Richard Sullivan said more people have come forward claiming to have been victimized by this group of six people.

Sullivan did not say exactly how many more potential victims there were, but added that they were coming in to police headquarters to give victim statements on Wednesday.

Police are still looking for the six suspects, and are asking for the public's help in identifying them.

The group consists of two white females and four white males. One woman was described as having blonde hair, wearing jeans and a blue shirt and carrying a flowered purse. The other woman has brown hair, was wearing jeans, a black shirt and white scarf, boots and a black purse. Both are estimated to be between 18 and 25 years old.

One of the men, between 15 and 20 years old, was wearing jeans, and a blue hooded sweatshirt. Two of the men were estimated to be between 30 and 40 years old. One was wearing a red jacket and green sneakers, and the other was wearing jeans, and a black sweater, black shoes and a black jacket.

The last man in the group police are interested in identifying is between the ages of 40 and 50, with short hair, and was seen wearing jeans and a lightweight gray jacket.
