Man Shot To Death In Car In Southwest Phila

Police are searching for a gunman after a deadly shooting in Southwest Philadelphia.

Officials tell us a 23-year old man was sitting in his car when he was shot at about 1p.m. Monday afternoon on the 7300 block of Garman Street. A total of 9 shots were fired at a Nissan Altima.

Police took the man to the hospital at the University Of Pennsylvania where here was pronounced dead at 1:20p.m.

Witnesses who were home at the time tell FOX 29 they didn't hear the 9 shots fired in the middle of the afternoon.

Police are interviewing other witnesses but so far no word on the gunman or a motive.
