Homeless Siblings Raise Money To Help Suffering Children

Posted: Updated:

A unique pair of siblings have overcome their unfortunate circumstances in lieu of a topic they are passionate about.

Kenny and Anastasia Reece were homeless. They and their family lived in Miracle Hill's Greenville Rescue mission. Transitioning into this new lifestyle has been difficult, but the kids decided to hit the streets of downtown Greenville after being inspired and affected by a photo a  young child who suffers from a heart-related condition.

The two siblings received a flier at school for a 35-year-old program to have kids jump rope for heart disease research and awareness.

Despite their own hard times, the duo has started raising funds to help suffering children. Their mother supports this fully and thinks the Jump Rope for Heart Program is a way for her children to give back.

After raising so much money and earning so much attention for their selflessness, the American Heart Association was inspired and gave each child a new scooter. The kids are excited by the prizes, but even more proud of the difference they are making with the money they have raised.
