Police Investigate Washington Square Armed Robbery

Philadelphia Police are looking for the suspect who robbed a book store in Washington Square.

On March 10 at 4:30pm, a male employee of the Scorpio Boutique & Book store located at 205 South Juniper Street was working inside when an unknown male entered the store pointing a handgun at him demanding money.

After the suspect was handed an undisclosed amount of money from the register he fled the store and was last seen south on Juniper Street.

The crime was captured on surveillance video. Police describe the suspect as a light complected black male, 40 years-of-age, 5'10-6'0", and medium build. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, heavy tan jacket, dark colored pants, black sneakers, and armed with a handgun.
