Shots Fired After A Man Robs Marple Township Movie Theater

MARPLE TWP., Pa. -

Marple Township police arrested a former employee in connection to the armed robbery at the AMC Marple 10 Theater in Delaware County.

On Friday night at 11:00p.m, Christopher Heinly, 26, entered the AMC Marple 10 movie theater at 400 South State Road.

The Heinly stole $600 from the theater's registers and quickly fled.

The security guard followed him into the parking and the suspect pulled out a gun. The two then exchanged gunfire. One shot may have the suspect's white sedan, which had two other men inside.

The Heinly then fled towards Route 1.

Heinly was idenified by current and former employees of the theater as the actor seen on security footage
