It was a day in the park for about 40 prisoners - handcuffed to each other, a fence and even a children's slide.  Authorities have been holding some crime suspects in a public park in western Bogota's La Granja neighborhood because they say there is no more room at a local detention center.

Police say a large crowd gathered outside a SoHo store for the release of a pricey new sneaker had to be dispersed when it spilled into the street.

Police say about 300 people lined up in front of the Supreme New York on Lafayette Street around 5 p.m. Wednesday. By 8 p.m., the crowd had nearly doubled. Police say they dispersed the crowd due to safety concerns. The store was closed at the time.

Video posted on social media sites showed a peaceful but chaotic scene outside of the store.

The $250 Supreme/Nike Air Foamposite was to go on sale at the store on Thursday.  Supreme later issued a statement:

"Due to concern for public safety, NYPD has forced us to not sell the Supreme/Nike Foamposites and accompanying clothing in our New York Store.  These items will be available on supremenewyork.com tomorrow (Thursday) at 11am EST."

Police say there were no arrests or injuries.

A large crowd had gathered again outside of the store on Thursday morning.  Many were not aware of the statement from the store.  Others were hopeful that the store would sell them on-site anyway.

The NYPD had a group of officers monitoring the crowd, which was peaceful.
