Fern Rock Rite Aid Employee Assaulted During Robbery

Police are looking for a suspect who robbed a Rite Aid in Fern Rock on March 26.

At 6:15p.m, a man came into the store located at 6101 North Broad Street and attempted to leave the store with a bottle of Aveno hand lotion without paying for the item.

When a store employee observed the suspect he attempted to stop him when the suspect pushed the employee into a display of water then fled.

After the suspect fled the store the employee followed the suspect into the parking lot where he attempted to stop him a second time at which time the suspect punched the employee in the face.

The suspect then fled the area on foot and was last seen north on Broad Street. Store Surveillance video captured the incident. Police describe the suspect as a Black male, 50-60 years-of-age, 6'2", medium build, and light complected. He was wearing a black ski cap, black coat, baggy blue jeans, and black and white sneakers.
