Life is a series of stories. Some tell us where we're going and others tell us where we've been. But they all have one thing in common. They're only as good as the person telling them.
Terry Sullivan is one of the best storytellers in Chicago, and he's got a pretty good one of his own.
Sullivan was a Chicago high school teacher for 33 years. Following retirement, he volunteered at Chicago Greeter and began giving free walking tours of the city. Taking advantage of his natural skill for threading history into beautifully told stories, the gig inspired Sullivan to start his own business.
Flash forward to today, and Walk Chicago Tours is now the largest privately owned walking tour company in the Windy City.
But what separates Sullivan's tours from the rest even more than his uncanny story telling ability, are their accessibility to everyone – something that's dear to his heart. One tour even caters to those visually impaired, taking advantage of Chicago's ability to indulge the other senses.
To Terry Sullivan, it doesn't matter who you are. You deserve to hear the countless incredible stories that Chicago has to offer. Listen up. This one's about to begin.
