NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

A set of Long Island twins share the same birthday but not the same birth location.

It happened Friday morning in Elmont. Police got a call that a woman was in labor on the side of the road.

Three officers arrived at Meacham Avenue and Rosser Street and assisted Mariejunia Ally, 33, in the delivery of a baby boy. In the meantime, an ambulance arrived.

Medical technicians started transporting the mother and baby to Winthrop University Hospital.

A second baby boy was delivered in the ambulance during the trip. Nassau County Police say that the second baby required CPR after not breathing on his own.

Mom and both babies were admitted to the hospital and are now doing well.

The names of the two boys were not immediately known.
