Costume-wearing competitors faced off for the Slush Cup at the spring carnival in Alaska.
Fifty competitors, dressed-up as daredevils, showed off their skills by skiing and snowboarding down a snowy slope.
They were doing their best to glide across the icy, 90-ft. pond at the bottom of the hill.
One of the day's highlights was a man dressed in a chicken costume who made it across the water.
Competitors were vying for top honors at the event, which was chance to win a season pass on the slopes.
"I think it's just fun environment for people to come out and just enjoy, kind of, the mountain community," one snowboarder said, "it's a little scary, you know, the water's a lot colder than you think and you never, it's always a gamble if you're going to make it or not."
This is the 37th year the area has celebrated the spring carnival.
