GLASSBORO, N.J. -

Glassboro Police are investigating a strong armed robbery that happened in the parking lot of Bottom Dollar, Doubletree Shopping Center on Tuesday.

According to police, the victim was leaving the store and when she got to her vehicle a black Dodge Ram pickup with chrome grille and rims sped up to her.

Police say the suspect exited the vehicle, called to the woman to get her attention. The suspect then allegedly ran to her and grabbed her purse.

A short struggle resulted until the purse straps broke allowing the suspect to flee in the vehicle, police say.

According to police, the late model Dodge Ram, possible Delaware tags, exited the shopping center and made a left onto Dalton Drive toward Greentree Road.

Police describe the suspect as a white male, approximately 38-40 years old, 5'9", 165lb with dark hair and a scruffy face. The victim stated he looked disheveled.
