NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) - The family of Hoboken resident Andrew Jarzyk confirmed late Tuesday night that a body pulled from the Hudson River earlier in the week was that of their missing loved one.

The body was spotted on Monday night near the ferry slips in back of the Hoboken train terminal.

The family posted a message on the Facebook page dedicated to finding Jarzyk, 27, that read "a very tragic ending."

"We have been able to get through this because of love, faith, and outpouring support that we have received from everyone. Andrew would be so proud... Andrew’s life on this earth was indeed cut very short."

The state Regional Medical Examiner's Office in Newark conducted an autopsy through the forensic analysis of Jarzyk's teeth and several "personal identifiers," reported the Associated Press.

They say the body showed no signs of trauma that would have indicated foul play.

Jarzyk was last seen on surveillance video running along the Hudson River near Pier C Park on March 30 at about 2 a.m.

The Boys and Girls Club of Newark seems like the last place you'd expect to find the daughter of hip hop royalty. But when it comes to inspiring young girls, Angela Simmons, daughter of Rev. Run of Run DMC, believes in the old adage "each one, teach one." While it may seem like she had a silver spoon in her mouth, she knows the importance of giving back.

Several beaches on the New Jersey and New York coastlines are open to visitors but closed to swimming because of high surf and dangerous rip currents. The National Weather Service has issued a High Surf Advisory and Rip Current Statement for the area beaches because of the effects of Hurricane Cristobal, which is expected to track south and east of the Jersey shore through Thursday.
