Police: 5 teens face charges in school bus beating

Posted: Updated:

DOVER, Del. (AP) - Five teens are facing charges in a school bus beating after video of the attack appeared on social media sites.

Dover police said Thursday that each of the teens, whose ages range from 15 to 17, faces charges of third-degree assault and third-degree conspiracy, including a boy accused of recording the video.

An officer reviewing social media came across the video that police say shows four boys beating another boy as the bus took them home Tuesday from Parkway Academy Central. Police say the boy suffered no injuries in the assault.

Police say officials at the alternative school for children with disciplinary problems helped identify the students involved.
