Historic Detroit church goes up in flames

DETROIT, Mich. (WJBK) - An historic Detroit church went up in flames Saturday morning. The First Unitarian Church is located on Woodward Avenue between Mack and I-75.

The 2-alarm blaze broke out around 6:30am. The building, which dates back to 1889, was vacant. Firefighters do not yet know the cause of the fire but we're told they're considering all possibilities including arson and squatters living in the building. No injuries were reported.
