It was a very busy day on the campaign trail as the four democratic candidates for Pennsylvania Governor covered some miles on this last weekend before Tuesday's primary. Fox 29’s Chris O’Connell was there with those candidates on the last minute push.
Obviously, Philadelphia is a must win for all of the candidates. A rally for State Treasurer Rob McCord who has the backing of several powerful unions finished up his day at St. Christopher's hospital.
Chris caught up with Congresswoman Allyson Schwartz she was touring neighborhoods and shaking hands around Chestnut Hill.
Katie McGinty, a former state environmental official from Chester County was campaigning at Penn’s Landing at the Israeli Independence Day celebration.
The front runner in polls, businessman Tom Wolf who has billed himself as the “anti-politician,” and started television ads weeks before his opponents, was also stumping in Philadelphia.
Of course the winner of Tuesday's primary will try to unseat Governor Tom Corbett.
Corbett who is running unopposed already started television ads targeting Tom Wolf even before the primary.
All of the candidates will have another slate of 11th hour campaigning on Monday.
Cooler and drier air moves in today but the heat and humidity return for the second half of the holiday weekend.
A cold front came through last night meaning cooler, less humid air is moving in for Thursday. Mostly sunny skies and winds gusting to 25mph are also expected today. Friday starts off very cool and also features a pleasant afternoon.
The holiday weekend is looking warmer and unsettled. Shower and thunderstorm chances increaselate Sunday and Labor Day.
