New Castle County Police Issue "Gold Alert" For Missing Man

NEW CASTLE COUNTY, Del. -

The New Castle County police have issued a Gold Alert for a missing man.

According to authorities, 59-year-old Frederick Daniels was last seen by a neighbor Thursday night at his home in the unit block of North Kingscroft Drive (Scarborough Manor) in Bear, Delaware at approximately 8 p.m.

However, on Friday May 16th, further investigation revealed that contact was made with Daniels via cellphone and police learned that he was in Queens, New York.  Also, that Friday afternoon, a family member said they contacted Daniels on his cell phone and he was on I-95.

Police describe Daniels as a black male, 5'8" tall, 230 pounds, dark complexion with a bald head and unknown clothing description.

He drives a Dark Blue 2007 Cadillac with Delaware tags.
