Police: Twin Brother And Sister Charged In Paulsboro Deadly Hit-And-Run

PAULSBORO, N.J. -

The Paulsboro Police Department say a twin brother and sister from Sewell, New Jersey, have been arrested and charged in the deadly hit-and-run that happened early Sunday morning.

Investigators say the victim, Eddie Lee Warthen, was struck twice by a car on East Madison Street in Paulsboro around 4:30 a.m. Sunday morning. Warthen was transported to Cooper Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.

According the police, the driver of the vehicle is believed to be, Robert Springer. He has been charged murder, unlawful possession of a weapon possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, tampering with evidence and hindering prosecution.

His twin sister, Jessica Springer, was also arrested and charged with tampering with evidence and hindering prosecution.

Police say the Chevrolet Malibu that is believed to be involved has been recovered.

Robert Springer is being held on $500,000 bail and Jessica Springer is being held on $10,000 bail.
