PHILADELPHIA -

Pa. Governor Tom Corbett announced on Wednesday that he won’t appeal a court decision that struck down the state’s gay marriage ban.

This decision means same-sex marriages will remain legal in Pennsylvania without a threat of a higher court.

Meantime, many same sex couples have been waiting for the day that they could legally tie the knot in Pennsylvania.

Kelly and Colleen have been together for 8-years.

They say they have refused to get married in another state because they consider Pennsylvania their home.

The couple says their daughter is excited that they will be legally be recognized.

"That makes me very unique because I don't know anyone else who has two moms or two dads," daughter Madison Evans said.

"She's pretty excited, she grew up with two moms. She's proud to have two moms. She tells everyone about her two moms,” Colleen Evans sai

Kelly and Colleen say they’re thrilled with the decision.

Colleen says her mother is ordained and will perform the ceremony in the upcoming months.
