2 Charged After Hundreds Of Heroin Bags Found During Traffic Stop

Posted: Updated:

Police in Delaware say two Harrington residents face charges after they were found in possession of 434 bags of heroin and more in raw form during a traffic stop.

Amber Plum, 29, and Philip Wooten, 23, were stopped at 10:16 p.m. on southbound Route 13 at Roosevelt Avenue in Dover, police said.

In addition to the 434 bags of heroin, found in the vehicle was another 11.2 grams of raw heroin in two bags.

"If the raw Heroin was packaged the same way as the other bags it would have yielded another 560 bags for a total of 994 bags," police said in a news release Thursday.

Authorities also say drug paraphernalia, prescription pills and $1,370 were also located in the vehicle.

Plum and Wooten both face charges for possession of heroin and oxycodone, police said. They were both taken to jail in lieu of bail set at $55,250.
