The National Weather Service has allowed a Tornado Warning for Kent County in Delaware to expire at 5:15 p.m., but Severe Thunderstorm Warnings continue for several local counties.

Previously the National Weather Service said that at 4:50 p.m. a funnel cloud was reported in Hartly. That storm was then moving southeast at 30 mph.

FOX 29 viewer photos and videos show lots of hail has been falling with these storms, and in some cases there has been damage as a result.

Severe Thunderstorm Warnings continue for multiple counties in the Philadelphia area. Some are for storms with the potential to bring 60 mph winds and golf-ball-size hail.

Severe Thunderstorm Watches will last until 10 p.m. for some parts of our area.

FOX 29 Chief Meteorologist Scott Williams said radar shows hail up to 1.5-inches in diameter has been falling in our area.

A trained spotter tells the NWS that hail "covered the ground" in Beltzville, Carbon County, when it fell there.

In terms of preparedness, the weather service says frequent cloud-to-ground lightning can occur with thunderstorms: "When thunder roars, move indoors! remember...if you can hear thunder...you are close enough to be struck by lightning."

SLIDESHOW: FOX 29 Futurecast

FOX 29's Sue Serio says we're headed to a high of 78 degrees Thursday. Expect scattered showers and a high of 73 on Friday.

Then we'll see mostly sunshine on Saturday, although it won't be perfect because there may be sprinkle or two around.

But Sunday and Monday look about as close to perfect as you can get for a holiday weekend, Serio says. We're talking about the upper-70s for high temperatures Sunday and the low-80s for Monday.

Tuesday will still be warm. There's a chance of showers Wednesday.
