Family Displaced From Home After 2-Alarm Fire In Upper Darby

The American Red Cross Southeastern PA is responding to help after a fire in the 4000 block of Ellendale Road in Upper Darby. They say of family of three has been displaced.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene of the fire just after 8am Thursday. It appears that a heavy fire started in the rear of the hone, possibly the kitchen. The fire continued to the second floor.

Firefighters listed the blaze under control at 8:49am. There were no reported injuries at the scene.

A spokesperson for the Red Cross say volunteers arrived on scene to provide the family with financial assistance for things like food, clothing, shoes, lodging, and medications.
