Video: Two Men Take Gun At Logan Gas Station

Posted: Updated:

Philadelphia police are looking for two suspects involved in a robbery in the Logan section of the city. The scene unfolded on surveillance camera.

On May 24 at 2:58 a.m., a 49-year-old male pulled into a Lukoil station located at 4421 North Broad Street to make a purchase. While seated inside his vehicle, he was involved in a verbal altercation with an unknown male.

Shortly after the altercation, the suspect suddenly reached into the driver's side and began to punch the complainant in the face and attempted to pull him from his vehicle.

The victim, who has a valid license to carry a firearm, pulled his weapon, but a second suspect opened the passenger-side door and took his gun.

That second suspect then ran off with the .45-caliber model 1911 handgun but returned as the 49-year-old man was leaving the area.

The suspects fled the area in a silver Pontiac Bonneville in an unknown direction.

Both are described by police as black males in their early- to mid-20s. The first has light complexion, a thin build, about 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, with short hair and a long beard. He was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt with a yellow "R," black pants and white sneakers.

The second suspect has a medium complexion and is bald. He was wearing a gray, thermal, long-sleeve shirt with blue jeans and gray sneakers.

If you have any information about this crime or these suspects, please contact Northwest Detective Division Detective Pacell at 215-686-3353.
